Getting started
What is a card break?
A break is when a sealed box or case of cards is opened live, and the cards are split up between buyers. You buy a spot (a team, driver or player), and you get every card from that break that belongs to your spot. It’s a way to chase big cards from a whole case for a lot less than buying the case yourself.
Where do I watch?
Do I need an account?
You can look around without one. To chat, buy spots, or bid you need a free account with your shipping address, and you must be 18 or older.
What are member numbers and the OG name?
Every member gets a number in the order they joined. Early members unlock special name colors, like the gold Superfractor name for OG members. They’re just for fun and bragging rights.
Buying spots
What do PYT, PYP and PYD mean?
Pick Your Team, Pick Your Player, and Pick Your Driver. You choose exactly which spot you want at the price shown. Prices are different for each spot.
How does swipe to buy work?
Save a card once on your account page. Then during a show, tap the spots you want and swipe the button to buy instantly with that card. A swipe is a real purchase, so only swipe when you’re sure.
Why does a spot say “Someone’s checking out”?
Another member started buying it. It’s held for them for up to 15 minutes. If they don’t finish, it opens back up.
How do auctions work?
The host puts a spot up for auction on stream. You need a saved card to bid, and every bid is a promise to buy. Late bids add a few seconds so nobody gets sniped. The winner’s saved card is charged automatically when the timer ends.
How do random spots and the wheel work?
For random breaks, the winning bid gets a random open spot. Our server picks it with a secure random number generator before the wheel spins, so every open spot has the same chance and nobody can pick it. You can see your own draws on your account page. See random spots.
Am I guaranteed a hit?
No. Nobody can guarantee what’s in a sealed box. You get every card that belongs to your spot, and if your spot gets no cards at all, we send you a pack from our own stock so nobody leaves a break empty-handed.
Chase Points
What are Chase Points?
Our rewards for members. You earn points on every spot you buy (5% back), plus 100 points ($5 off) just for joining the Society. Use them at checkout for money off your next spots. See yours on your account page.
How much are they worth?
Every $1 you spend on spots earns 1 point, and 100 points = $5 off. Points can take up to 25% off each spot, so they stretch your money but can’t pay for a whole spot.
How do I use them?
When you check out, leave Use Chase Points switched on and the discount comes off your total. Turn it off if you’d rather save them. Points can’t be used on shipping or auction wins.
Do points expire or have cash value?
They have no cash value and can’t be bought, sold or transferred. If an order is refunded, the points it earned are removed and any points you used come back. The full details are in our Terms.
Payments and security
Do you keep my credit card information?
No. Payments are handled by Stripe, a payment company used by millions of businesses. Your card number and security code go straight to Stripe and never touch our servers. We only see the card brand, last 4 digits and expiration date so we can show you which card is saved.
How do I remove my saved card?
On your account page, tap Remove next to the card.
Can I get a refund?
Once a break starts, sales are final because the cards come out live. You get a full refund if we cancel a break, it doesn’t run, or you were charged by mistake. Details are in our refund policy.
Do you charge sales tax?
Where the law requires it, sales tax is added and shown before you pay.
Shipping and pickup
How much is shipping?
Shipping is charged once per show, and it’s shown at checkout. Buy more spots in the same show and they ship together for no extra shipping.
When will my cards ship?
Usually within 5 business days after the show, in protective packaging with tracking.
Do you ship internationally?
For some shows, yes, at a higher shipping price. Customs fees or import taxes in your country are up to you.
My package is missing or damaged. What do I do?
Email contact@breakerssociety.com within 7 days with photos if anything’s damaged. We’ll sort it out with the carrier.
What about redemption cards?
They belong to the spot they hit. We send you the redemption card or code, and you redeem it with the manufacturer.
Chat, messages and profiles
How do I tag someone or message them?
Type @ and their name in chat to tag them. Tap anyone’s name to see their profile card, then tap Message to send a private message.
Who can see my purchases?
Your username shows next to spots you buy on that break’s spot list, like it would on stream. Your full break history is private by default. You choose whether to show it, and your spot totals, under Your profile page. Nobody else ever sees your name, address, or what you paid.
Someone is bothering me. What can I do?
In messages, use Block or tap a message to Report it. You can also turn off messages from members on your account page. Moderators watch the live chat too.
How do I delete my account?
Email contact@breakerssociety.com from your account’s email address and we’ll take care of it. See our privacy policy for what we have to keep for tax records.
Questions?Email contact@breakerssociety.com and a real person on the team will get back to you.
